Skinny Traffic Trails has worked on well over 50 miles of trails since 2018 including design, planning, construction, reroutes, improvement, and maintenance. We’ve tackled a wide variety of landscapes, geology, ecology, hydrology, micro climates, and wildlife environments and are able to find creative solutions to even the most difficult challenges. Trail sustainability and sensitivity to environmental impacts are always a primary focus as we work with clients to achieve the trail experience they desire. This extensive history has allowed us to develop the experience, knowledge, creativity, techniques, and approaches required for providing our clients with well thought out designs that are ready to become reality.
Our design and planning process typically begins with client meetings to understand the overall goals of their project, followed by site visits to spend time in the field assessing terrain, geology, environmental considerations, and developing creative ideas that will lead to the perfect trail or trail network. We’ll then begin exploring the land in detail and putting the ideas together to come up with a comprehensive plan that meets the desires of our client, intended users, and Mother Nature.
We offer services including designing full Master Plans of entire trail networks, GPS data/mapping, as well as final “shovel ready” design, field flagging and mapping. When appropriate we’ll work with qualified partners such as GIS specialists, graphic designers, videographers, landscape architects, biologists, arborists, engineers, and land managers to deliver the desired level of sophistication to meet all of our clients design and planning wishes.
