Skinny Traffic Trails also specializes in designing and building improved surface and Nordic trails that offer accessibility to a wide variety of users. Whether it’s building from pre-existing engineering plans or designing appropriate construction techniques based on site conditions and intended use, we have completed many miles of enjoyable mutli-use trails that blend perfectly with the surrounding landscape and provide long term durable amenities for any community. Trail are built with sturdy subsurface foundations such as gravel, road base, geotech fabric, turnpikes or a combination of materials, and finished with smooth compacted surface that allows for mobility assisted users to enjoy the outdoors as well as families, kids and adults alike.

Improved surface trails are a perfect addition to parks, neighborhoods or municipal Open Spaces, and can often easily be groomed in winter for year round use.
